Residential Treatment for Adults with
Co-Occurring Disorders

The Garcia House treatment team believes that all people can and do recover. We understand that behavioral health disorders may be lifelong with periods of crisis and stability. We promote a safe, inclusive, and healing environment in our facility while understanding that the recovery journey occurs along a continuum and that individuals may be at different points on this journey. We value the uniqueness of every person we serve and therefore tailor our treatment to meet a variety of wellness needs.

At Garcia House, the people we serve will find treatment options built on a foundation of trauma-informed care, harm reduction, evidence-based practice in the areas of addictions and mental health including medications and medication-assisted treatment, as well as a team-based model of care that understands the intersection between health and a variety of community systems including physical healthcare, human services, family and child welfare, and criminal justice.

What Are Co-Occurring Disorders?

Co-occurring disorders, also called dual diagnosis, happen when a person has both a mental health disorder and a substance use disorder at the same time. These two conditions affect each other, making it harder to recover without treating both.
