Christensen joins SummitStone’s Board of Directors

Happy New Year to you all! I hope over the holidays you were able to make special memories with family and friends as well as find time for rest, relaxation and renewal. Here’s to a new year full of optimism and opportunity for growth.

Speaking of growth, I’m very pleased to announce that our Board of Directors continues to expand – this year with the addition of Nick Christensen, who joins our already robust group of community member volunteers who guide us in our mission of providing unsurpassed behavioral healthcare in Larimer County.

Nick is currently Vice President of Real Estate for the Colorado State University Research Foundation (CSURF) where he leads portfolio management and delivery of services. Previously, he co-founded Chrisland Real Estate Companies, an affiliation of commercial brokerage, development and related investment entities. Prior to that he was an executive with McWhinney. Nick also served in an appointed role as Executive Officer on the command staff of the Larimer County Sheriff’s Office. He was subsequently appointed by the Larimer County Commissioners to the Behavioral Health Policy Council and has served in leadership capacities on several non-profit boards.

Nick holds a Juris Doctorate from William Mitchell College of Law and a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from Colorado State University. He also served as an adjunct professor teaching real estate law with CSU’s Everitt Real Estate Center.

Nick ChristensenPlease join me in welcoming Nick to our Board. With his extensive local roots and diverse experience, I know he’ll be a great asset to our volunteer Board that works hard to enhance SummitStone’s vision and strategies. I look forward to having his counsel added to our Board’s perspective as we enter an exciting time for SummitStone and behavioral healthcare in general.

From Nick: “I am eager to serve on the SummitStone board to help shape mental health care strategy and support innovative delivery of services that positively impact our entire population. We all have mental health yet many do not seek to proactively take care of it and themselves. SummitStone offers a broad range of services that can reach and benefit everyone county-wide. I look forward to aiding the continued growth of these services and fostering our community outreach.”
